Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records is
a group made up of young talent that many would consider to be the best in the
business. Rapper Lil Wayne is the CEO and founder of this group better known as
Young Money. A few of the more common names in his group are Drake, Nikki Minaj, Tyga, and the group’s
manager Mack Maine.

Many people only know Lil Wayne as a
rapper; however, I believe he is more than that. Lil Wayne is a mentor and
leader in his group of young, successful and talented individuals. Many up and
coming artists strive to be as good as Lil Wayne and look up to him as a great
role model. While many consider him to be the “best rapper alive” I think he is
the one of the best rappers of our generation. With multimillion-dollar record
sales and phenomenal music, he is an inspiration to many artists trying to make
it in the music industry.
One of my favorite songs by Young Wayne is How to Love. Not only do
the lyrics in this song have great meaning, this single went triple
platinum in 2011. His beats are incredible and his collaborations never
cease to amaze the listeners. One of the best dance collaborations he has put
out more recently is Ball
with T.I., another great artist.
Lil Wayne knew at a young age that he wanted to be a rapper
and did everything he could to make this dream come true. At age nine he was
signed to Cash Money Records and is still with the record
label all these years later. One of the best deals Cash Money had the
privilege to sign.
I am not a singer; however, I have a dream to be able to mentor
and manage talent. Lil Wayne is not only a leader to his group on his record
label, but also an inspiration for myself and others that may be on a similar
journey to strive to learn to be as success as him in finding such brilliant
artist.
